This week’s tried and tested has been everywhere with us recently. The perfect lightweight mac which stows neatly in its own little bag and protects from unexpected showers is a must-have in every change bag. Easy to wash, quick to dry, takes a second to get from bag to back and it looks rather cute too. We’ve tried it and love it.
Shower resistant mac with bag, Marks and Spencer
12 months to 4 years £14, 5 years to 7 years £16
Not forgetting the boys, we haven’t tried & tested this one but if the floral mac is anything to go by, this striped jacket for boys will be just fab too.

I’ve often wondered if matching your outfit to your tot’s is perceived as cute or naff. In my opinion it’s cute, (so I’ll put my fingers in my ears so as not to hear otherwise) provided they take your lead and not vice versa.
Inspired by Zara’s mama & me ballet flats I thought why not put together two looks for you and your mini me, so when I saw that Marks and Spencer also do a grown-up ditsy floral mac I couldn’t resist. So if you fancy a mummy/daughter look, here’s a little something for you. And let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with a floral and stripe combo.
Little lady: Floral mac, as above; Stripe top, Petit Bateau; Mint jeans, Matalan; Ballet flats, Zara
Mama look: Floral mac, Marks & Spencer; Stripe top, Petit Bateau; Mint jeans, Cos; Ballet flats, Zara
LOVE IT! I vote for cute. I would definitely wear this outfit and I’d dress my little girl in it too. I bought a similar floral mac for her recently, but from TU at Sainsbury’s. Very Cath Kidston.
Love your blog! xx
