Daily dose: print on print

On Monday we went tonal in top to toe shades of pink, and on the other end of the style scale there’s the print clashing we’ve seen so much of over the past few seasons.  You can of course just go crazy and clash it up but to put together an outfit that doesn’t look like you’re too tired to look in the mirror (even when you are!) there are a few easy rules to follow.

Choose similar sized patterns and look for tonal colours to link the prints together. Pick an accent colour to work in your accessories or keep them nude. Here the mid-sized pattern of the shorts in shades of navy, orange and pink teams with the washed out tones of the top in a different design but similar size print. The orange is accented with the sandals and it’s all pulled together with your trusty nude bag. Keep jewellery to a minimum and let the prints do the talking.
