Whilst catching what I hope won’t be the last of the summer sun, I took the opportunity to try out a new tunic from White Stuff*. With its on trend botanical print, easy-to-wear shape and fun but flattering length it is the perfect piece for a trip to the park.
I’ve worn this tunic with a nude slip underneath as, being white, it is a little sheer for a dress but worn with jeans or leggings, you wouldn’t need to layer it. With its lightweight fabric and tropical vibe it lends itself nicely to also make a great swimwear cover-up and the sleeves protect upper arms for a little extra sun protection.
If you’re pregnant the a-line shape of this tunic would be great for disguising the early stages, flattering a small bump or hiding a mum-tum later on.

To focus on the tunic I kept accessories neutral with mis-matching metallic jewellery for a bit of interest. I always think an eclectic mix of jewellery in different metals and shapes gives a more relaxed feel to an outfit, a sort of ‘I just threw it on’ edge rather than coordinating which looks more considered and therefore dressier.
Bright nails were a must to contrast the green and add another vibrant tone into the mix. A bright tote bag and sandals would do the trick nicely for another take on the tunic next time.
Light, fun and perfect for throwing on at the sight of a bit more late summer sun, I’ll be keeping this tunic to hand for now and ready for next spring/summer too, because no summer is complete without a tropical print or two.
