It’s so easy to get stuck in a shopping rut, particularly when you have so little time to do it. So dashing in and out of the same stores or clicking on those bookmarked favourites on your toolbar does make life easier. The trouble is you end up with variations on a theme. For me, Zara skinny jeans and loose tops or sweaters from Gap or Banana Republic.
We all have our go-to brands where we know our size and style but seeing as variety is meant to be the spice of life, perhaps we should shake it up a bit. So when I was asked to review the Joe Browns Winter collection I saw a great opportunity to expand my wardrobe’s brand repertoire!
The look
When I’ve featured Joe Browns before I had a great response so wondered if I’d been missing out on something. I knew that if you love printed dresses, Joe’s your brand, but was pleasantly surprised to find that there’s plenty more to tempt us.
The verdict
The quality is great; supersoft jersey for that all important stretch and it’s thick enough to feel snug and not lose its shape after crawling around with a little one. Baggy knees on leggings is so not a good look.
You can’t beat a t-shirt dress and leggings for easy comfort and I’ve been wearing these with low-heeled ankle boots and a chunky cardi for toddler time and long, platform boots and blazer with layered necklaces for work. It would be the perfect dress for pregnancy too for bump-hugging style.
And because I can’t (unfortunately!) give you free time in your busy mum schedule, I’ve selected my top 20 picks from this seasons Joe Browns collection. Think bold prints, cosy knits and figure flattering dresses. Oh, and there’s a poncho in there too. Yes, really.
