Yes, this week’s Tried & Tested is quite literally, pants. When I was sent some silk knickers by Charlotte & Co, a gorgeous online brand created by one of the co-founders of lingerie label Myla, I knew they’d be luxurious and as the brand’s best selling item I had high expectations.
Charlotte & Co describe these knickers as the ultimate in practical luxury, and I’d say they pitched it rather well. The fine silk jersey is so comfortable but slinky enough to feel good and practical enough to cover. Let’s face it, stringy, sheer little numbers may not be top of our everyday lingerie needs, but comfort with a luxe look and feel probably is.
The shape is much more classic than I would normally choose and of course you’d expect a bit of a VPL with a brief but the cut was generous enough to sit comfortably and hold everything where it should be, without feeling mumsy.

Speaking as someone who usually finds a style, sticks to it and buys it in every colour I’m not often up for browsing, especially now with an impatient toddler pulling everything off its hangers. So I’ve saved the browsing time and now these can be my staple, buy-them-in-every-colour style.
The only problem, is that sadly, they can’t guarantee to make your bottom look quite as good as the model’s! We can pretend though, right?
