VIDEO | Stylist’s Pick: 5 Jumpsuits to Try Now and How To Wear Them

A well-chosen jumpsuit is the one hit wonder piece you’ll wear again and again so in my latest video I’ve selected 5 fantastic jumpsuits and shared here with tips for styling to get the most from your wardrobe. From short-sleeved playsuits, to wide-legged jumpsuits, there is something to suit every woman and my Stylist’s Pick also features options with pockets – hurrah!

Remember, check if you have anything like these in your wardrobe already that you can try styling in different ways before hitting the shops and if not, you can shop the items featured below with extra styling notes.

1. Floral Print Playsuit – Zara

I often talk about belting your waist to enhance your shape but if your tummy is your widest point then you might want the attention elsewhere. So, Hello legs! Admittedly not everyone wants their legs on show but one thing my clients ask for more than covering their legs is covering the tops of their arms. So for that these sleeves are ideal and they’re slightly wider and longer than your average short sleeved shirt.

2. Monochrome Geometric Jumpsuit – Whistles

This print is never going to look dated as it’s so simple and the fact that it is sleeveless means that you can wear it just as it is when the weather is warm, then layer a white shirt or long-sleeved top underneath when it’s cooler.

3. Red Linen Jumpsuit – Phase Eight

Just how cropped this jumpsuit is depends on your own leg length of course but ideally you want the hem to sit at the narrowest point on your ankle or lower leg. Don’t be afraid to have the length altered to the most flattering point for you. Avoid an ankle strap shoe if possible as that will add another line across your body which ends up breaking up the clean lines and shortening the appearance of your legs.

4. Chambray Playsuit – Hush

This jumpsuit is made from a chambray fabric so it’s lighter weight and cooler to wear than denim but it’s just as versatile colour-wise so you can go as minimal or as bold as you wish with finishing your outfit. Just imagine this with a basket bag, metallic wedges and a big hat on a hot summers day.

5. Floral Print Sleeveless Jumpsuit – H&M

This is a great option for garden parties, picnics and summer drinks. Throw a striped sweater over the top and wear with white trainers when there is a chill in the air, then go glam with heels, a metallic belt and a bright clutch bag for a dressier summer look.
