Here’s a really simple no-sew way to add a personalised touch to a child’s bedroom…
- Paint a wooden box frame to coordinate or contrast with the room.
I used a 6″ frame and Farrow and Ball ‘Pointing’. - Cut out your hearts in printed or coloured fabric.
Take a look in the remnant boxes in fabric shops, you’ll find off-cuts for under £1. - Iron the hearts onto the background fabric using bondaweb or the equivalent.
I used spare curtain lining fabric. - Stretch across the back of the frame and clip into place. Et voila!
You could of course do this in any design or colour, with more or fewer shapes. Maybe multicoloured stars or a striped fabric cut into circles, or choose a colour or shape from elsewhere in the room to pick up on. The possibilities are endless!

Oh this is a lovely idea – I like the idea of more hand-made posts. So clever.
