Outfit Inspo | Faux leather trousers + Fishnet

When you find yourself dreaming about something you saw in a shop, it’s just meant to be, surely? I spotted these faux leather trousers in Mango and walked around with them while I browsed, then realised I was late for an appointment so had no time to try them on. I left them behind. Then I couldn’t stop thinking about them and even dreamt about them a few days later – that’s style dedication! I almost didn’t want to actually go and try them on by this point because I’d convinced myself they’d be a disappointment and the fit wouldn’t be right for me. But when I spotted they were reduced in Mango’s Black Friday sale, I just had to order them online. And the rest is wardrobe history!

I’ve always been partial to a faux leather legging but sometimes you just need back pockets to break up your bottom area, because long tops aren’t always flattering – they may cover your behind but they also shorten your legs. The struggle is real, ladies!  So these are a straight leg trouser style with a pin tuck front seam in a cropped length and they have excellent pocket positioning for a peachy posterior, plus studded front pockets and they’re made in a buttery soft faux leather.

I predict I shall be wearing these a lot, to the point where I’m even wondering whether I should buy a second pair now they’re in the sale again for when I wear these to death!

Style tips

  • A bright top, for example pillar box red, would amp up the vamp factor of the leather and leopard so a blush pink or pastel tone will soften the overall look.
  • Add a little warmth to ankles in style with fishnet socks. For the best on the high street, visit Topshop, H&M or Primark.
  • If this heel is a little high for you, try the mid heel ‘Aurrora‘ style from Dune which is identical but for the lower heel and is available in a wide fit option too, if pointed courts tend to be too narrow for you.
  • Prefer a more casual look? Try Air & Grace’s leopard print ‘Copeland’ trainers. They will go with everything.
