If ever there were a time for the capsule wardrobe, holidays are it. We may try the whole 20 key pieces you must have to mix and match for a different look every day for the next year (slight exaggeration) with our day to day wardrobe at home but if you have the space it’s hard not to fill it. When it comes to holidays however, fitting a week or weeks’ worth of outfits into one case and weighing in at 20kg or less, smart packing and styling is key.
With this in mind and the thought that anything you buy for your holiday is a much better investment if you can actually wear it after your holiday in real life too, I have put together three looks with some key pieces from George.
Wear them at home or away for easy summer style.
Travel in comfort and style with a bright cami, striped stretch blazer and loose denim joggers.
Take a bright scarf too, if you’re flying, and you’ll have that extra layer if you get a chill on the plane and save space in your case by reworking it as a swimwear cover up later.
If you’re arriving somewhere hot, whip off the blazer and pop it in your bag. The stretchy nature of this jacket means it will sit happily in your flight bag until your return journey, crease-free.
Take a day trip in a simple cami, lightweight joggers and flip-flops and don’t forget the sunglasses.
These camisoles are ideal for holidays; lightweight, tummy skimming and perfect for layering not to mention easy to pack and you can wash and dry them in a flash while away.
Whether home or abroad, get the most from your trusty light denim trouser and team with an embellished crisp white top and an oh-so-current woven clutch.
Just add heels or wedges and some stacked bangles. Earn extra style points with a neon manicure.
If you missed my holiday snaps on Instagram (I’m not sure how you could have! #holidayspam) here are a few instapics wearing the fab cami tops to show they really are a top holiday pick.
Thank you to George for inviting me to choose a capsule holiday wardrobe.
