All we may really want for Mother’s Day is a decent night’s sleep, a hot cup of tea or coffee and perhaps (probably) a glass of wine, but if they do insist on treating us to something, here are some ideas for dropping hints (share this page using the social links below!) or spoiling your own mama with my Mother’s Day gift guide. These are my own recommendations for personalised, quirky or luxurious gifts I’ve tried, received or given and I’ve done my research to bring you the latest discount codes too!
The floral gift
If you won’t get to see your mama on Mother’s Day, the classic choice is to organise a flower delivery for her (or drop a hint for a surprise for you!), but this year you have to try Appleyard London for a luxury boutique bouquet. I have only just been introduced to Appleyard’s website and their stunning floral arrangements and they’ll now be my go-to for flowers for friends and family.
The Liberty bouquet on arrival, sent to my own Mama, who was of course thrilled with her bouquet which lasted really well and bloomed beautifully.
Use code BLOG40 for an amazing 40% off all luxury bouquets (not including the flowers by post collection). Order by 7pm for UK next day flowers.
The edible gift
Want something a bit more filling? If you’ve never sent or received a Biscuiteers biscuit card or tin of treats, a) where have you been?! and b) you’re missing out. I’ve been using this fab biscuit delivery site for years to send iced gifts as a Thank You, birthday presents and more.
Great for a nursing mum – the more biscuits the better when you’ve got a baby to feed! – but who wouldn’t want to receive these intricately iced nibbles, beautifully presented in a tin or sweet little box.
If you’re in London head to their Notting Hill icing cafe on Sunday 15th March for a Patisserie masterclass 11.30-13.30.
Subscribe to the newsletter for a £5 voucher off your first biscuit tin. Order by 1pm for next day delivery.
The ‘share with your tot’ gift
I discovered Penwizard through twitter last week and although I’ve seen different personalised children’s books before I couldn’t resist playing around with this site as you can edit the character’s appearance as well as their names. Cue far too much time spent creating not just our family in a Peppa Pig style, but all my friends’ too!
What would you and yours look like as Peppa Pig characters? Just a little tempted to find out?!
Personalised My Mummy Peppa Pig book, £10, Penwizard

The monogrammed gift
What do you get for the striped top addict? Why, a monogrammed Breton, of course! Monogramming is having a moment right now and stripes are big news this season so work two trends in one and keep that Breton-obsessive happy. I love Lands’ End’s striped tops (I have two) and their monogramming service is great (I have a monogrammed sweater and dressing gown!); you can choose the font, letters (of course!) and positioning and the service adds just 1 extra day on the delivery time and only costs £3.50.
Free delivery when you spend £60 with code MARCHFD
And don’t forget the wrapping!
For the ultimate finishing touch, why not wrap your gift in personalised wrapping paper from wrap.me. Upload photos from Instagram, Facebook, your desktop or phone camera roll, easily edit and order by sheet or by roll.
