Most of us have a uniform that we rely on when we get dressed in the morning, which is great because it does make life an awful lot easier when you’re rushing to get out of the door but it’s so easy to get stuck in a style rut because it is just so easy to reach for the same things in our wardrobes and buy our trusted favourites because we know they’re comfy or practical and will easily go with 90% of our wardrobes.
One of the things that comes up most often when talking to other mums is about their style is ‘I’m bored with wearing jeans’ so if jeans are your security blanket but you want to mix things up a bit I’ve got some tips to help you try new looks.
I’ve put together some ideas to get you out of a jeans style rut in a video below that are still totally wearable, you can look after your little ones in and looks that will suit every day wear, whether you’re doing the school run, hosting a play date, going to playgroup or the park, but hopefully they’ll refresh your look and give you a bit of style confidence with it.
I hope you’ve found these tips useful and as always, if you’ve any style dilemmas you’d like solved do get in touch here or leave a comment below.
This was a fab video Helen! Sorry I did try to like it but for some reason couldn’t. I always go for jeans and was thinking about investing in another pair but now I will think about trying something new 🙂
Thank you Lauryn! Great to hear you’re inspired to try something different! x

I tend to avoid jeans until it gets really cold, and then I live in them. Am going to look for those baroque print jeans – I love them!

Fab video, you are a natural in front of the camera-I’m the opposite, I’m always in dresses and rarely wear jeans, although starting to get back to my skinnies with chunky knits.
