Every little lady needs a tutu…

There’s something wonderfully endearing about a little girl in a tutu and wellies, you just know they’ve chosen their own outfit themselves. It was only recently that my two and a half year old got her very first tutu and my goodness, the look on her face when she opened the box and pulled it out was one of pure joy – even though it wasn’t pink!

We were invited to choose a skirt from tutu experts Angel’s Face so I opted for a dark grey ‘anthracite’ frothy little number thinking it would be a more wearable colour than classic pink. It arrived in a neat little hat box – perfect for actually wearing as a hat teamed with the tutu, according to my little girl! – and was met with great excitement when she realised what it was.

The grey has indeed proved wearable (at every opportunity!) as a neutral that can be teamed with everything else in Coco Lily’s wardrobe, from the obligatory wellies and tiara combo to sparkly shoes and cute cardi outfit for parties.

From mini rock chick to pretty princess and every style in between, a tutu is a must in every little girl’s wardrobe.
