Regular readers will know that chez CocoMama we are partial to a bit of mama-and-me dressing. Our coordinated outfits are usually unintentional but fairly frequent as both mine and my daughter’s wardrobes contain many identical basics. Striped tops being a favourite! So when I discovered that fab womenswear brand Etsi not only design great pieces for us grown-ups, but they also do many of these in miniature for little ladies too we were in online shopping heaven. And cue more excitement when we were invited to review a matchy-matchy mum and daughter outfit of our choice.
We (well, I!) chose this monochrome striped (of course) dress with gem pocket detail. It seemed apt to trial the dresses on holiday in Greece – not too far from where they originated in Cyprus – and to be honest, it was that or layering with chunky knits and boots in our British so-called Spring!
The dresses: Mama; Mini-me
As a one-size-fits-all it was perfect for comfortable summer wear as it’s made in a heavier weight cotton jersey so it was breathable in the heat and didn’t cling- when you just want to relax and not have to worry about your mum-tum – (or in my case, disguising my growing baby bump!)
I’m not too short but did need to pop my wedges on for the long length of the women’s dress so if you’re petite it might need some alteration or some killer heels! I can definitely see this as a long-lasting dress that will appear in my annual wardrobe changeover each Summer and become a holiday favourite for pre, post and during pregnancy.

Coco Lily adored the gem detail, even as a blue-Crocs-wearing, football-loving active toddler – she’s still a girly girl. Hers was age 2-4, so next summer it will still be great as a top with leggings or shorts, or layered over a long sleeve tee in the colder months.
