Ways to wear: camouflage

I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve raved about wearing prints for mama-duty to disguise marks and sticky fingerprints, so it’s even better when the ultimate hide-all print – camouflage – is bang-on-trend.
You may think camo should be left to the military (which, by the way is another hot trend this season!) or perhaps that it is a bit student-y, but to persuade you otherwise here are five easy, practical and stylish ways to work this print into your mama wardrobe.
Ways to wear: camo
1. Oversized shirt, River Island; Black jeggings, Oasis @ House of Fraser; Grey plimsolls, New Look.
3. Camouflage scarf, Zara; T-shirt, Boden; Slim leg jeans, H&M; Camouflage trainers, welikefashion.com.
4. Faux leather jacket, Warehouse; Camouflage skirt, River Island; Black studded boots, Zara.
5. Camouflage hooded coat, Sisters Point @ NewLook.com; Bootcut jeans, Mango; Brown suede wedge boots, Oasis.

Style tips

  • Don’t go head to toe camo unless you want your child to lose you in the park (now there’s an idea….!)
  • Don’t wear with khaki. See reason above, though it is tempting for a 5 minute tea break.
  • Add colour with this season’s must-have damson shade.
  • Dress it up with black leather and stud details.
  • Dress down for playgroup with an oversized camo shirt and black leggings for comfy casual wear.
  • A camo parka is the solution for walks in the park and Winter days out.
  • Add a twist to your basic sweater and jeans look with camo accessories.

Do you wear camo print? Would you?
