40 of the best boots

Last week a fellow mum on Twitter posed a question about the best footwear for this weather. They need to be showerproof and easy to slip on (she originally asked for waterproof but when I suggested gardening clogs as a practical solution this brief was altered!) and suitable for mummying in.

So here is the ankle boot, your Autumn best friend. In fact, if next summer is anything like this one they’ll become your year-round BFF. They’re mum-propriate, comfortable, go with everything from jeans and a tee to a dress and leggings and you can bag a pair for as little as £10.

In this bumper post, here’s a round-up of 40 of the best ankle boots on the high street this season. From on-trend studs to the classic Chelsea boot, and some serious bargain booty to statement neon and animal print, there simply must be a style here to suit you and your lifestyle.  I live in my Aldo wedge desert boots so I’ll be investing in a secondary pair this season, but which to choose!

Love the Western style ankle boots by Zara. Definitely more practical than the other mummy friendly shoe type- Converse! Not so great for slipping on and definitely not waterproof!
