Tried & Tested: Mia Tui

Is it a change bag? Is it a handbag? Well, it’s a bit of both.  Mia Tui bags are designed for busy women in need of a little organisation on their arm whether it’s nappies and wipes or laptops and chargers you’re carrying.

When Coco Lily was tiny, our change bag was religiously well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Now that she’s a little older (and I’ve relaxed a tad!) I’m going from playgroups to playgrounds and meetings to the office, so I juggle various pouches from one bag to the next and usually forget something along the way. I love the StorkSak change bag I’ve had since Coco Lily was born but now that she’s older and I have other things to do I need something that will bridge the gap between my two lives.

I was invited to try out Mia Tui’s Ava bag, here’s what I thought:

Mia Tui’s Ava bag doesn’t look like a change bag (because it’s not really) so it’s great to use for work and still has the handy compartments of a change bag that I’ve got so used to over the past 15 months, so you get the best of both worlds. It would also be great for flying and even has a clear pouch which would be perfect for your mini bottles on the flight. Because the last thing you want to be doing at security is faffing with sandwich bags for your beauty products when you’ve got a toddler in tow. It’s also waterproof inside and out which is perfect for those inevitable spillages.

The matching clutch that comes with the bag is perfect for all your valuables and easy to transfer if you like to use a cross body bag in busy places or to keep things close at playgroups. For a night out (when you get one!) you wouldn’t even need to switch again to another bag, just take your clutch from within and go.

And my favourite bit of all, it’s under £50.

Included in the Ava bag:

  • Clear internal bag with hand strap
  • Matching clutch bag with hand strap
  • 2 bottle holders
  • 2 key clips
  • Phone holder
  • Pen holder

I tested out the pewter version which, like any metallic bag, goes with everything and you also have the option of a pink or blue lining. But if metallic isn’t your thing there are four other colours to choose from.
