Introducing a new feature for cocomamastyle, Mama on the road finds mums out and about doing, well, mummy type things and sneaks a peek at their outfit and finds out what their go-to brands are for their wardrobes and those of their little ones.
First up we have Ali who is mum to Felix, 3 and Leo, 1 and lives in South East London with her husband Nick. Cocomama caught up with Ali on a family day out for a picnic and museum visit.
What are the staple brands in your wardrobe?
Gap, Uniqlo, Levis and Topshop.
Where do you shop for your sons?
H&M, Next, Boden and Gap kids.
What one item in your mum-wardrobe could you not live without?
The one item I couldn’t live without is my scarf – although actually it should be ‘scarves’ – as I often get cold and not only do they help keep me warm they also pull together a hastily grabbed outfit (which is inevitably the case when I’m trying to get ready in the morning) and add a splash of colour to my face.
How has your style changed since becoming a mum?
My style hasn’t changed a huge amount, I’ve always worn fairly practical clothes and have never had the pain threshold for heels so usually spend my day in plimsolls or flat boots. I do have less time to shop for clothes and mostly shop online so I do make more considered purchases nowadays. I’d love to wear a jumpsuit one day though…
