Being a mum doesn’t mean you have to forget about heels completely, but even if you’re a seasoned pro in your 5 inch platforms (those were the days!) you soon realise that pushing a buggy, running to catch up with toddlers and spending more time walking than being sat at a desk (pre-baby) means you need to go for flats or knock off a few inches. When pregnant you might want something a bit comfier for work without feeling like you’re going to topple tummy first or you might want to feel a bit more dressed up when meeting friends or going to a party when flats just won’t cut it. And for some of us it’s just nice to have that extra bit of height without risking our ankles when rushing about.
So if we’re going to do the midi-heel, let’s do it without looking mumsy!
